Everton have completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Allan from Napoli.

The 29-year-old has signed a three-year contract .

Everton are believed to have paid a fee of about £21.7M to sign the former Udinese star.

Allan has now reunited with former Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti. 

Allan made 61 appearances under the Italian tactician at Napoli.

“It is a real pleasure to sign for Everton. I am immensely happy to be here,” Allan told evertontv.

“I hope, like I have done in my entire career, I contribute with my performances together with my teammates and that I put in some great games, great performances and win important things. 

“It is a club with a rich history in the Premier League, has real ambition and then there is Professor Ancelotti. 

“He has done everything possible to bring me here. 

“It is the size of the Club and the name of the coach which means you don’t think twice about coming to Everton.”

Allan made over 200 appearances for Napoli in his five-year stay at the Serie A club.
 
He won the Coppa Italia in his final season with Napoli.
 
Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure and Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez are also believed to be close to joining Everton.
