The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC of Nigeria has declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president-elect.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu president elect was the candidate of the All Progressive Party and was duly elected during the presidential elections held on 25 February 2023.
The Chairman of INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, announced the results of the presidential elections at exactly 4:10 am on March, 1, 2023. This was after days of the collation of the results from all the 36 states as well as the Federal Capital Territory.
Bola Tinubu garnered 8,794,726 votes. His closest competitor, Atiku Abubakar of People’s Democratic Party received 6,984,520 votes while Peter Obi came in third with 6,101,533 votes.
Rabiu Kwakwaso closed the chapter with 1,496,687 votes.
