Premier League clubs Brighton and Aston Villa donated meals to local homeless charities after the weekend’s Premier League matches were postponed. Championship club Fulham also made a similar gesture.

Football was postponed until April 3rd due to the spread of the deadly Coronavirus.

Food had already been prepared for supporter kiosks and hospitality lounges across England.

Fulham, Villa and Brighton ensured that the food will not go to waste.

Aston Villa and Fulham donated over 1000 meals to homeless charities and housing shelters in their local area.

Around Brighton and Hove, Brighton gave away vegetables and fruits, dairy products and sandwiches to Sussex Homeless Support to serve the various night shelters.

Brighton and Hove Albion will also pay their staff who are unable to work due to Coronavirus including those who work on match-days.
