The government of Botswana has eased coronavirus restrictions and workers in the country have begun phase one of returning to work.

Only 25 percent of workers will be resuming work and they’ll have to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

High levels of hygiene is also recommended by the government as offices reopen.

The country has been in lockdown since late March.

Botswana President Mokgweetsi Masisi had earlier extended restrictions to 7th May and announced that resumption of normal activities would be in phases.

23 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Botswana with the virus claiming one life.
