Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, one of India’s top movie actors, has tested positive for covid-19.
Mr Bachchan took to twitter to share his test results.
“I have tested Covid positive, shifted to hospital, hospital informing authorities, family and staff undergone tests, results awaited,” He tweeted.

Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, 77, has been involved in 200 films since becoming a star 50 years ago.
Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan’s son Abhishek, 44, later tweeted that he had also tested positive for the virus.
The two had mild symptoms of Covid-19 and are receiving treatment at the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.

Amitabh has urged all those who came into contact with him to get tested for the deadly virus.
According to data compiled by John Hopkins University, 820,916 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in India, making the Asian country the third most affected country behind the United States and Brazil.
