Chelsea will face Liverpool in a Premier League match that will be played today at the Stamford Bridge as from 6.30 PM (East African Time).

Liverpool are currently on top of the Premier League table with 15 points, 2 points ahead of Second placed Manchester City. They haven’t lost a Premier League game this season. Chelsea sit at position 9 with 8 points.

It is expected to be a tough match considering the quality of players in the two teams.

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante recently returned to training after an injury and could be involved. It remains unclear whether Mason Mount will be involved after the player was injured during midweek UEFA Champions league clash against Valencia at the Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool Goalkeeper Alisson Becker and midfielder Naby Keita have returned from injuries and have been training but won’t be involved in today’s clash.

A win for Liverpool will ensure that the Reds move 5 points ahead of defending Champions Manchester City in the Premier League table. Liverpool lost the title last season to Manchester City by a point.

It will be second time new Chelsea manager Frank Lampard will face Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp in the Premier League. They met earlier in the UEFA Super Cup in Istanbul at the start of the season.
