Benevento have won 23 out of 31 league games and have a 24-point advantage over Crotone and Cittadella.

Ascoli were the last team to be promoted to the Serie A with 7 games remaining. They did so in 1977-78 season when only two points were awarded for a win.

Benevento were promoted to the Serie A three years ago but they were relegated after one season.

Simone Inzaghi is in charge of Lazio.
