Arsene Wenger has revealed he is still worried about his former club Arsenal and he hopes Mikel Arteta can restore the club’s playing style.
Arteta replaced Unai Emery as Arsenal manager in December 2019, with Wenger having retired at the end of 2017-2018 campaign.
The 70-year-old Frenchman keeps a close eye on his former club and says he hopes Arteta could bring back Arsenal’s possession-based playing style.
‘’I worry about the club a lot and I watch a lot of the games,’’ Wenger told talkSPORT on Friday.
‘’I believe there is a culture in the way to play football at Arsenal that I want to be respected.
‘’And I hope Mikel can get that back.’’
Arsenal sit 9th in the Premier League table.
Liverpool were 25 points clear on top when the Premier League was suspended due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
Arsene Wenger believes Jurgen Klopp’s men are champions.
‘’Jurgen has done extremely well because that club has waited for 30 years for this title,’’ He said.
‘’No matter what England will decide, Liverpool are champions in everyone’s head, I think.’’
