Sharing is Caring

We’ve seen social media awash with stories of Zimbabweans selling their toes for thousands of dollars due to increased standards of living.

How true is this story and what are the toes being used for?

According to informationed shared on Twitter the big toe goes for $40,000 USD (KES 4.6 million) while the smaller ones are sold for $20,000 (approx. KES 2.3 million).

Other sources indicate that this is the work of a cult who demand for the toe for 10 years of riches but also their is a rider that a relative will die along the way. Others are saying that once the toe(s) is cut, no one is supposed to see the leg.

This is a chase for “quick and easy money” by young people.

However, some people in Zim are saying that the story is not true, it was shared as a joke by someone and it exploded online.
