Patrice Motsepe had the backing of Fifa chief Gianni Infantino for the Confederation Africa Football (CAF) presidency. The new presiden is the owner of Mamelodi Sundowns. He was elected unopposed to replace the outgoing president Ahmad Ahmad who was accused of corruption, nepotism and embezzlement

Now Mauritania’s Ahmed Yahya and Augustin Senghor of Senegal will take the position of vice presidents at CAF. 

Jacques Anouma, of Ivory Coast will become the special advisor to the President of CAF.
