Borussia Dortmund veteran Lucasz Piszczek has signed a one year extension through to the end of June 2021, after which he’ll retire.
The Polish defender will be 36 at the end of his new deal and next season will represent his 11th with the Bundesliga giants.
Piszczek has made over 350 appearances for Dortmund, winning two Bundesliga titles and 2 DFB-Pokals with the German side.
Piszczek has made 21 Bundesliga appearances for Dortmund this season.
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said: ‘’Lucasz Piszczek is an absolute leading figure in our team. Furthermore, he’s in top condition physically too.
‘’It was therefore logical that we would extend his contract by a further year.’’
