The 34 year old scored 21 league goals in the 2018/2019 season to help Juventus win their eighth successive Serie A title.

Ronaldo has scored 6 goals in 11 starts for Juventus this season, despite injury issues reducing his playing time for the past one month.

‘’It is a proud moment to win this award. I want to thank my Juventus teammates. It was my first year in Serie A, a difficult league, and I’m very happy. Thank you for voting for me. I will now try to repeat what I’ve done the next year.’’ Said Ronaldo upon collecting the award.

The award was previously won by Argentine forward Mauro Icardi who currently plays for Paris Saint Germain on Loan from Inter Milan.
