Gor Mahia humiliate AFC Leopards at Kasarani

Gor Mahia beat AFC Leopards 4-1 on Sunday at the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani. Yikpe Gnamian scored two goals as Lawrence Juma and Clifton Miheso scored one each. Ingwe’s only goal came from Burundian import Tresor Ndikumana.  

Yikpe opened the scoring in the 55th minute before doubling the lead in the 63rd minute. Miheso added the third in the 79th minute before AFC Leopard’s Ndikumana reduced the deficit by one goal. Lawrence Juma scored the fourth for K’Ogallo after substitute Boniface Omondi passed the ball to him.

Gor Mahia have now managed to beat AFC Leopards 7 times in their last 9 Mashemeji derby meetings. The last time AFC Leopards beat Gor Mahia was in 2016 when they pulled a 1-0 victory.

The result ensures that Gor Mahia remain on top of the Kenya Premier League table with 18 points after 7 matches. AFC Leopards are 7th with 15 points after 9 matches.

Gor Mahia have two games at hand to play.

Gor Mahia will face Kakamega Homeboyz in their next Kenya Premier League match on 20th November 2019. AFC Leopards will play Bandari FC in their next KPL match on 20th November 2019.
