Laliga Club Leganes have sacked manager Mauricio Pellegrino after a 2-0 loss to Getafe. Leganes haven’t won a game this season and are bottom of the Laliga table.
They have only managed to earn 2 points from 9 matches this season.
Mauricio Pellegrino, who previously managed Valencia, Deportivo Alaves and Southampton was appointed at the start of last season and guided Leganes to avoid relegation and secure a respectable 13th position.
Things have not worked out this season and the club has issued a statement about the Argentine’s future.
‘’Leganes and Mauricio Pellegrino have decided mutually to go their separate ways. ‘’ The statement read.
Leganes Reserve team coach Luis Cembranos and his assistant Carlos Martinez will take charge of the team as they embark on looking for Mauricio Pellegrino’s successor.
