FKF Disciplinary committee has cleared CEO Robert Muthomi of abuse of office allegations over the transfer saga involving Sofapaka’s John Avire to Egyptian Club Tanta SC.

Batoto Ba Mungu had earlier accused Muthomi engineering a move for the 22 year old forward despite the player having a running contract with the club.

Robert Muthomi had stepped down as the CEO to pave way for investigations. The FKF disciplinary committee cleared him siting lack of evidence.

‘’Having considered all the evidence laid before it, the committee is of the view that in the broad sense  there was insufficient adduce evidence to the effect that the Respondent abused his office. ‘’ The committees statement read.

Sofapaka president Elly Kalekwa has also been asked to apologize for the allegations he accused Robert Muthomi of in the committees report.
