  • There was a shortage of 99,081 teachers in Kenya in 2019 out of which 61,671 are needed in Secondary Schools while 37,410 teachers are needed in Primary School;
  • A total of 22,961 teachers employed by Teachers Service Commission died between 1987 to 2016;
  • 2 in 5 civil servants are teachers forming the largest workforce in Kenya
