Tottenham Hotspurs Sign Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis
Giovani Lo Celso has left Spanish side Real Betis for Tottenham Hotspurs on an initial loan deal with an option to sign a permanent deal at the end of 2019/2020 Premier League season.
Tottenham Hotspurs had long been linked with the Argentine midfielder. The clubs official statement read, ‘’ We are delighted to announce that we have reached an agreement for the season-long loan signing of Giovani Lo Celso with Real Betis with an option to make the transfer permanent. ‘’
Giovani Lo Celso previously played for Rosario Central before signing for Paris Saint Germain in 2016. Paris Saint Germain loaned the argentine back to Rosario Central in 2016. In the 2018/2019 season, Lo Celso joined Real Betis on loan initially before signing a permanent deal with the Spanish club. Real Betis are set to get £55M from Lo Celso’s sale should the move be made permanent.
Giovani Lo Celso will wear jersey number 18 at the London based club.
