Martin Charles Scorsese
Martin Scorsese was born on November 1942. He is an American film producer, director and film historian with over a half a century of experience.
Martin Scorsese has covered numerous topics in his films such as Catholic concepts of faith, redemption; modern crime, machismo as well as conflicts among gangs.
Martin Scorsese is one of the most influential filmmaker is the history of film-making. He is the found of World Cinema Foundation and The Film Foundation.
Martin received AFI Life Achievement Award for his great works in the film industry. He has previously won Emmys, DGA Awards, Best Director Award from Cannes Film Festival, Academy Award, Silver Lion, Golden Globe among others.
Martin has directed numerous films such as: The King of Comedy (1983); Mean Streets (1973); Taxi Driver (1976); Raging Bull (1980); The Last (1983); After Hours (1985); Goodfellas (1990); The Last Temptation of Christ (1998); Cape Fear (1991); Casino(1995). Martin has also collaborated with his close friend and actor Robert De Niro.
