Big Protests in America against Immigration ban

Big protests in America against President Donald Trump’s executive order barring re-entry of Americans from Muslim-majority countries into US. These big protests in America happened in many airports and cities.

In Boston, Washington and New York a second round of demonstrations started on Sunday afternoon. The first demonstrations happened on Saturday which was triggered immediately after the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents started enforcing the executive order.

President Trump’s order effectively bars admission of refugees from Sudan, Iran, Iraq and four other countries citing security reasons. Already, the people arriving at the U.S. airports from these countries have been either detained or deported. This is what the Americans protested against vehemently.

This is the second week of massive protests since President Trump took over power. The first protest took place last Saturday and was attended by over one million people.

Trump defended his ban and said that this is not a Muslim ban but it is all about “keeping our country safe.”
