David Murathe resigns as Jubilee Party Vice Chair

The principled Jubilee Party Vice Chairperson has held tight to his guns on a statement he made calling Deputy President William Ruto to resign and retire alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.

David Murathe announced his resigned at his Garden Estate home in Nairobi. He said that his his lucrative position in Jubilee Party is no longer tenable.

“I now find that it is no longer tenable to stay on as the party vice-chairman, given that I will have to sit in the same National Executive Council with a man I am taking to court to block from running for president,” David Murathe told the media during an interview at his Garden Estate home in Nairobi.

David Murathe noted that it will be a conflict of interest because he and William Ruto both seat at the National Executive Council (NEC).
