INDONESIA HAS THE LARGEST MUSLIM POPULATION

Currently, Indonesia has the largest Muslim population as a nation. That notwithstanding, the nation’s Christian population is also growing fast. In 1990, there were 26,000 Roman Catholics. This had grown to  6 million in 2003. The statistics are even more impressive for protestants who have grown from 285,000 in 1900 to the 16 million in 2003. To make the issue more interesting is when you realize that approximately 1 million of these converts were once Muslims.

In 2004, Indonesia had 191,800 Seventy Day Adventists according to statistics compiled by Nation Master.
