“Spy Cam Porn” is big problem in Seoul, South Korea

The authorities in Seoul, the capital City of South Korea have hired 50 dedicated officers to conduct searches in public toilets every day to find and destroy spy cameras.

In 2017 alone, 6,000 cases were reported. The videos from these spy cameras are uploaded on the internet as porn. This is why women are living in great fear of being recorded when they visit the public toilets for long and short calls.

The Seoul authorities and police have indicated that 80% of the reported cases are by women. Before the new drastic action was adopted, the government was conducting searches on public toilets on a monthly basis.
