Buy-and-hold Strategy best for Trading at the stock market
Reading a number of investment books, you will realize that predicting movements in the stock market is not an exact science.
It has failed from time to time. This is why scholars promote the buy-and-hold strategy. It’s very difficult to determine the exact time when to enter and leave the stock market to avoid making losses.
Many tragedies have bedeviled the stock market in the past. They include:
- Wall Street Crash of 1929
- Black Monday of 19th October, 1987
- Dotcom Bubble, 2000
- The collapse of Mexican Peso back in 1995
- Asian Contagion of 1997 to 1998
So what should we do considering that there is no one who can predict stock-market crashes? This is a million-dollar question. Comments are welcome.
